Mecca's Road to Recovery

Attention all friends and loved ones! Please help Mecca on her road to recovery from Myocarditis and Pericarditis. Just a month ago Mecca gave us a big scare in the form of an emergency room visit that ended up in multiple days in the ICU. Strong chest pains, shortness of breath, fatigue, all signs of an imminent heart attack at the age of 23. We were lucky to catch it when we did, as it could've ended up in a sudden cardiac arrest. 

Mecca is resting up, but even a month removed from the scare, she is still feeling the symptoms from the condition. Practically in bed rest, she hasn't been able to return to work or enjoy the active lifestyle she's used to. She currently needs help getting up, walking around the house, and doing every day menial tasks.

Follow up cardiologist appointments have been positive, however the timetable for her full recovery is unpredictable, as it can range from 3 months to more than a year. The best thing she can do is rest, and try to stay on top of her schoolwork, as she is a grad student at ASU.

The whole ordeal has cost Mecca greatly, as it has caused her to get behind in her school work, medical expenses, co-pays, and lost wages. She paid for this current semester, however she doesn't know if she will be able to pay for the following semesters, especially after the expenses from the hospital.
