My name is Myesha Gardner and this fund is on behalf of my younger sister, Mecca Gardner, a kind, beautiful, bubbly, soul who was a victim and survivor of an unexpected gun violence incident that left her with four wounds on her left side (hip, knee, and arm) and a fractured hip.

The unexpected incident occurred Saturday, June 17th. Mecca had to effectively undergo a surgical procedure called IMN, an installation of a permanent metal rod inserted to repair the fractured femur bone to help regain mobility and weight for her to walk again. As a result, Mecca will be immobilized and unable to work for the next 3-6 months.

We are humbly requesting funding that will contribute to relocated housing, transportation accommodations, medical expenses, food and supplies, PTSD counseling and physical therapy costs which will go directly to Mecca.

We are so deeply grateful that Mecca survived, by the grace of God and we are all fully committed to her road of recovery. This situation has not only traumatized her and her safety but our whole family as well. Even during this difficult time, Mecca is still full of love and optimism for her journey ahead.
