Hello, my name is Eloise Butler-Lewis. The fund rising is for my brother, Professor Willie Butler, who is an American citizen, living in Nairobi, Kenya. His passion has always been to share his knowledge and love to the people of Africa. Willie is a single parent of a 12 year old daughter, and he has taken ill.

He has been diagnosed and treated for colon cancer, which allowed major surgery. His allotted amount of services/benefits with his insurance company was used which left him with an outstanding, large balance. This balance had to be paid before he could be released from the hospital.

During the two weeks at home, after being released from the hospital, Willie took ill again with complete kidney failure. He had to be rushed back to the hospital and immediately placed on dialysis treatment.

He remained in ICU with continued dialysis treatment for several week. During this stay and having

continued dialysis treatment, he had to exhaust all of his personal funds as well as his daughter’s college fund for her extended education.

Willie has to have another surgery by the end of March. This procedure is very costly.

This plea for GoFundMe is for $18,000 to cover the expenses of the pending surgery and stay in the hospital. and for him and his daughter to return to the United States. Once he has returned back to the United States he will have another surgery to remove a third malignant tumor and to continue with dialysis treatment.
