Hi, my name is Rain, and I’m a paw-parent to four sweet souls.
We adopted Meatball in early 2023 after learning about his story. He had struggled to find a home and was transported all the way from Ontario. The moment we met him, he completely captured our hearts.
Since joining our family, Meatball has unfortunately faced several unexpected medical challenges. Shortly after we adopted him, he developed complications and post-operative infections from his neuter surgery. Not long after that, he began experiencing serious urinary tract issues that required surgery, extensive testing, ongoing veterinary care, and a specialized diet.
Recently, Meatball experienced two medical emergencies back-to-back. During one of them, he swallowed a bone whole while under supervision and required emergency stomach surgery to remove the obstruction. Thankfully the surgery went well and he began recovering.
However, about 21 days into his recovery, Meatball began developing complications again. Similar to what happened after his neuter, he is now facing new medical issues that have required emergency care and hospitalization, and we are still searching for answers.
Over the past three years we have done everything we can to ensure Meatball receives the care he needs to thrive. We love him deeply and have always made sure his medical needs are met so he can live a happy and comfortable life with our family.
Unfortunately, the repeated emergency visits, surgeries, specialized food, and ongoing care have created significant financial strain. The two most recent events costing upwards of $7000 and climbing.
We are asking for any support during this difficult time to help cover Meatball’s emergency and ongoing veterinary costs. Every contribution, share, or kind message truly means the world to us and helps us continue giving Meatball the care he deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read Meatball’s story and for supporting our little rambunctious fighter.
