Keeping Our Healthcare Heroes Healthy
Our friends at Annie’s Ginger Elixir and Rethink Food are stepping up to support our healthcare workers who are helping to fight COVID-19. They are expanding their core operations and partnering to bring nutritious, freshly prepared meals and a popular wellness beverage to doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel working on the frontlines of this crisis. Their “made in Brooklyn, delivered citywide” partnership will support and fortify the people who need it most, right now.
Annie’s Ginger Elixir is a small, private company whose signature beverage is high in antioxidants, inflammation-reducing and immune-boosting, especially effective in relieving upper-respiratory issues. Rethink Food is a non-profit community kitchen, specializing in utilizing food excess to feed those in need. Together, side by side in Brooklyn’s Navy Yard, they are working overtime to bring hundreds of meals a day to hospitals, clinics, and institutions housing medically and/or emotionally vulnerable New Yorkers.
We are launching this campaign because we care about the health and safety of the medical personnel risking their lives for the rest of us; because we care about the well-being of small businesses and non-profits; and because so many of us are looking for ways to take action.
