Meadow Hill Farm - little rescue in desperate need.

Donation protected
Hallo - my name is Maddie, and I am appealing for donations to help Meadow Hill Farm Rescue and Sanctuary, as they are right out of feed and hay, and face very large veterinary bills for the special needs animals, not forgetting Jax, the rescued pit bull who has had a recent cancer scare.

I am showing some of the latest pictures of Jax and his poor swollen leg. He is a gentle sweetheart that big hearted Trecia rescued earlier on. He is such a bedrock of the sanctuary with his calm and steady presence, so he really is asking in his quiet way if someone could help him with his diagnostic and exploratory surgery, in case his cancer is recurring.
UPDATE: October 3rd 2025 Gentle Jax was found to have cancer in his leg, and yesterday underwent surgery to have it amputated, to stop it spreading. So, this quiet uncomplaining boy is facing more veterinary bills and the care he will need for his recovery. Please read this, and if you can, donate what you can to help him.

This expense is just another addition to the already mounting bills to keep the rescue going. If no one steps up to help, the sanctuary faces having to close and all the old animals given away, to where Trecia cannot guarantee their safety any more - the situations she saved them all from. An example of which is showing Domino the white donkey in his filthy pen that he was kept in, while waiting to ship to slaughter. He is a different donkey today, he has gained weight and his lovely bright white coat is clean and healthy. He is shown with his goat friends in the meadow that is his home now. But ... without help and funds to keep the rescue going, he could be at risk of falling into the wrong hands again. Saving an animal doesn't end with the 'freedom ride' - it means caring for them as long as they will live. Which is why we need funds and donations from kind people who will help them stay safe and secure.

Please help with whatever you can, to save these vulnerable old lives. Just a little from many people goes a very long way. Some success stories to share that the kindness of supporters made happen - the field shelter that blew away has been replaced by stronger sturdier stalls to protect the donkeys, horses and goats from the strong summer sun and winter chill winds. The vet's bill has been settled, so she can continue to provide her services. However, due to ongoing needs ......

URGENT - Meadow Hill Farm needs everyone's help right now. No donations and empty feeds bins. Funds are getting low again, and Trecia has launched some small donation matches which are struggling to get matched.

October 2025: - If no funds are coming in to pay for their food and keep, Trecia may be forced to call the transport truck, which sadly may happen all over again, as she is left with no choice. Poor little old confused faces will be loaded onto the transport to go, who knows where. Or what their eventual fate will be!
This is a shelter and sanctuary and by its very nature does not self generate an income, instead it depends on the kindness of people like you, who read this, and generously donate. Please find it in your hearts to donate what you can - if everyone reading this could do this, the shelter would be out of danger. And the dear old animals would always be safe and loved in their sanctuary home.
