Hello there! I am Jessica Keeley-Mercado, and my sisters, Tracy Bice and Sarah Guse, want to offer the Faribault and local communities a place for pet parents to grieve and remember their beloved Pets. We have created a physical place in the form of a Rainbow Bridge for families to honor, remember, cherish, love, and grieve the loss of their Pet.
In Oct. 2024, met with the Faribault Park & Rec Committee and received an overwhelming vote of approval to proceed with our community project. We will be placing the bridge at the local White Sands Dog Park here in Faribault, MN; just north of the restroom pavilion. It will be built accessible to all, in a private peaceful corner.
Pets are a significant part of our families, the goal of Meadow Brook Rainbow Bridge is to create an outlet for people to express their grief and have a sense of community and support. Pets come in all shapes and sizes. Dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, small animals such as guinea pigs or rats, fish or farm animals even! We want to celebrate ALL PETS here. Loss of a Pet can come in many forms other than death, such as rehoming or run-aways. No matter the reason, the pain is real. You are not alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling to manage & navigate the loss of a pet, please contact our Certified Pet Loss Bereavement & Veterinary Hospice Care Specialist through our email address.
Please consider donating funds towards this needed cause in our community. Any and all funds donated through this GoFundMe platform for the Meadow Brook Rainbow Bridge will be used solely for the purpose of building or maintaining this community & public project.
