Slade Bral passed away unexpectedly 2/11/15, leaving behind his wife Shari. Please consider helping Shari with funeral and life expenses as we all know this is a very difficult time.
EDDYVILLE — Slade Tyrome Bral, 41, of Eddyville, died February 11, 2015, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born November 13, 1973, in Marengo, Iowa, to Phillip and Michelle Carter Bral. He married Shari Moss on March 12, 2011.
A 1992 graduate of Iowa Valley Community School, he graduated from Indian Hills Community College and had attended Buena Vista University. Slade had worked at McDonald’s, Excel, Ver Meer, Rubbermaid, and for the past 11 years at Pella Corp.
He was involved in Ottumwa Community Players and Ottumwa Community Children’s Playhouse. He owned a D.J. business, “Phoenix Sounds.” While in high school, Slade participated in 4-H, FFA, choir and band. He was an active gardener, enjoyed bird watching and fishing, he was always joking, bubbly and had a very big heart.
Surviving are his wife, Shari; his mother and stepfather, Michelle and Raymond Carter of Deep River; his father and stepmother, Phillip and Freda Bral of Marengo; grandparents, Darlene Bral of Marengo, Jan and Bill Stolte of Atkins; a brother, Tige (April) Bral of Marengo; a stepsister, Merrideth (Jason) Carden of Marengo; two nieces, Liberty and Jersey; four nephews, Braydon, Brad, Owen and Cody; seven uncles, Val (Dawn) Kramer, Steve (Marsha) Stolte, Bill Stolte all of Cedar Rapids, Kevin (Deb) Kramer of Tempe, Arizona, Scott Kramer of Mesa, Arizona, Randy (Denise) Bral of Homestead and Bary Bral of Marengo; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emil Bral an infant nephew, Jesse; and an uncle Roy Bral.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Julie Fiske. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made to Ottumwa Community Players or Ottumwa Community Children’s Playhouse.
