Hey everyone!

My name is Lucre and I am from Mexico City. About seven years ago, I moved to New York City and finally found a place where I felt that I belonged as a queer person. I´ve made a home of this place, working as a bread baker, falling in love, meeting the weirdest and coolest people, experiencing the hottest summers and coldest winters, exploring new places, getting lost, the sounds, the smells, the terrible times and the magical moments.

I've loved living here, but because of immigration policies, I have not been able to go back to Mexico. This means I have missed many important experiences, including the birth and first years of my first niece's life and the last years of close family members. Recently I became eligible to apply for a Green Card, which means that I will be able to still call New York my home while leaving and reentering the country as I wish. Through this process, I will need some help to cover the costs of legal assistance and filing fees. Anything you can donate will be appreciated.
