Help me get to the World Championships in Chicago

Hi, my name is Tanya Merrett and raising money to help with the costs to get me over to Chicago to compete in the Hyrox Pro World Championships.

I have trained for over 20 years within the sport of Muay Thai, when I retired from Muay Thai I never thought I'd compete seriously in anything again. I have some injuries that have made competitive fighting too difficult to carry on with.

Along came Hyrox which has given me a focus a goal and a new purpose and I am able to train around these injuries and be highly competitive within the sport.

My first Hyrox I came 7th in Turin Italy and 7 weeks later I took 6mins off my time and came 5th in my age category and 23rd overall out of 800 people that competed putting me in the top 3% this culminated in an email telling me I have qualified for the World Championships in Chicago and an opportunity to represent my country.

Anyone that knows me knows that when I compete I give everything I have to the goal and it's always to Win....

I am looking to raise funds to help with the basics to get me over to Chicago, including flights, accommodation, visa, insurance etc.

Within the sporting communities I have been a part of I have always given back and still do now with support, time and advice to those within my club and fellow athletes within the industry and those that often contact me for help and advice.

I would be so so grateful if those that know me, follow me and are inspired by what I do could help me even by a small amount to help me showcase what you can truly achieve when you put your heart and soul into daring to be greater than you once were. I have an unparalleled work ethic and a mental capacity to push myself beyond what people think is possible.

I have Represent my country previously in Muay Thai and I would be honoured to do it again for Hyrox.
