Hi everyone, I’m George, an 18-year-old aspiring racing driver from Toronto, Canada. Motorsport is my passion, and I’m asking for your support in any way you can, to help me pursue my dream of becoming a professional racing driver, and showing what’s possible for someone who started in sim racing. If you've seen the Gran Turismo movie, that is what I am trying to achieve.
I started sim racing in 2021, with a small sim setup, not thinking I would go very far with it. I fell in love with racing through the movie "Cars" when I was young, and would watch it back many times. Sim racing reignited that passion and allowed me to race at a very small price. Over a couple years, it became something much bigger. I wanted to prove that even without a wealthy background or years of karting experience, you can still make it in motorsport through dedication, talent, hard work, and sim racing.
Through sim racing, I was able to compete at a national and international level. I became the #1 ranked Canadian in the iRacing IndyCar Series, and in the FIA F4 Americas Tour on iRacing. I also qualified to represent Canada at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia for esports, but unfortunately, I couldn’t attend at the time due to lack of funding. However, in 2025, I got another opportunity to represent Canada, this time for the NACAM Games in Mexico, and proudly brought home a bronze medal for Canada.
In 2024, I took my first step into the real racing world, competing at the Goodwood Arrive-and-Drive league, finishing 4th in the standings. In 2025, I switched to the Mosport Arrive-and-Drive League, finishing 2nd overall in the championship, securing multiple wins, 12 podiums out of 14 races, and the rookie of the year award. That experience confirmed everything I already knew. This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
My biggest obstacle right now is funding. I don’t come from a racing family, and motorsport can be extremely expensive. Despite the results and dedication, opportunities can slip away without financial backing. I’m working hard every day on top of a full-time job to change that by reaching out to businesses, building my social media platform, and sharing my journey.
For 2026, I’m aiming to compete in a full season of the Miata Canada Cup, a series that will allow me to build experience in real cars and showcase my potential to the world. My biggest hopes are to also race a weekend in the Formula Prototype Challenge Canada in a Radical SR3. All of the funds raised here will go directly towards all of my racing expenses. Any kind of support is massively appreciated!
