Hi,

My Name us Stuart Beckett and I will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge on 4th June 2026 in memory of My Dad, George.

Dad died of a heart attack back in June 2023 and although there was a Defib on site at the location he was found, it was already, unfortunately too late.

In his honour and in partnership with Stapenhill Football Club, I am aiming to raise as much money as possible to help me buy & install defibs in my local community with the hope that there will be a defib within a short distance for anyone in the community to use in the event of an emergency.

I am pleased to say that Luke & Kim Edkins of Luke Edkins Civil Engineering Ltd have already donated 1 Defib which will soon be installed on the external perimeter wall at Stapenhill FC for community use.

The cost for a defibrillator and lockable case ranges from £1,000.00 - £1,500.00 +VAT with additional costs for installation & maintenance so I am calling on Friends, Colleagues, Pears and Community members to dig deep and offer anything you can.

In the event that we have surplus donations, i.e. a reasonable sum of money but not enough to purchase an additional unit, I will split this between the Air Ambulance and Mountain Rescue.

I appreciate times are tough and the cost of living is through the roof but I ask you to ask one question........ how appreciative of a community defibrillator would you be in the event one of you family require it? I know how grateful me and my family were for the effort.

I will be supported on this challenge by friends, who will support me by climbing with me or providing logistical support such as driving, and prepping nutrition & rehydration. As you can imagine this challenge does come at a cost so if you know of any businesses that would like to support / sponsor this challenge please reach out and talk to me. We will welcome any support to cover the cost of Transport, Hydration & Nutrition and Hotels.
