Hi I’m Owen. I recently had to undergo emergency surgery for a raging infection on an undiagnosed perianal abscess which exploded leaving me in agony. I saw/spoke too a medical professional 22 times before this happened and got nowhere after months of pain. The worst finally happened.  Since that time I have been through hell.

I have recently got the news that my abscess has turned into a fistula requiring more surgeries, potential setons and the likelihood of abscesses to reoccur are huge!

My mental health has took a huge hit and I believe I have medical PTSD over what had happened. Anxiety is at its highest as every little pain I feel like I’m going to end up in hospitals again and it scares the hell out of me. 

I have been out of Work now for nearly 3 months and I’m so struggling to make ends meet. I’m looking into the possibility of going private with the hospitals for surgery so that I can be seen quicker and potentially more efficiently.
