Hi, my name is Patrick, and I have an amazing opportunity to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) in Washington, DC, this summer! I was nominated by my teacher, Ms. Burch because "she recognizes me as a student who has achieved academic excellence and possesses strong leadership potential." Nominations for this leadership program are only given to one student in the entire school each year......and this year I was nominated! I am so very excited to have this opportunity to learn from others and develop skills to become an effective leader in my school and community. I want to be a positive example to others, especially my little brother. I also want to inspire others my age to become positive role models and leaders in our schools and community which will lead to a stable and more prosperous society. By attending this conference, I will learn how to create that positive change.

I am asking for your assistance in helping me attend the conference. The total cost of the trip is $5,000.00. This includes conference tuition, room & board, and transportation. One amazing experience provided by the JrNYLC is the opportunity to visit the House Floor at Capitol Hill and hear from a former member of Congress. I would love to go to Washington, DC, to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
