Help me overcome challenges to continue my education.

Dear all,

I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. My name is Sipara Eyasu Atnafu, and I'm writing to share my story in the hopes of receiving your support during a challenging time in my life.

I am currently a second-year student who started my academic journey with a passion for learning and a dream of making a positive impact on the world. I was fortunate to secure a spot at Agnes Scott College with a scholarship. Unfortunately, at this stage, I find myself unable to cover the difference.

In my first year, I was overjoyed to find my name on the Dean's list, a testament to my hard work and dedication. I felt like I was on the right path, inching closer to realizing my aspirations. However, life sometimes takes unexpected turns.

The political crisis in my beloved homeland has disrupted not only my family’s daily life but also my pursuit of education. Consequently, my father’s business has been brought to a halt, adding the substantial weight of his unemployment onto my family. Seeing him struggle has been heart-wrenching, and I can’t help but feel a deep sense of responsibility to contribute and find ways to alleviate some of the pressure.

With a heavy heart, I am now facing the reality that I am unable to cover my tuition costs. Therefore, I am in pursuit of transferring my education to Georgia State University, which has a more manageable tuition cost. Nevertheless, I still am not able to pay my full tuition. This is why I am reaching out to you for help.

I believe in the power of community, in the idea that we can come together to uplift one another during times of difficulty. Your support could mean more than just covering tuition fees; it would be an affirmation that my journey matters and that even in the face of adversity, there are people who believe in my potential.
