Me & My Cats Leave A DV Situation

Edit: Thank you to everyone who has helped so far. Due to the change in the DVPO, I'm currently in the process of securing a more permanent place for myself and the cats so we can leave the shelter and I'm trying to get a lawyer to start the next paperwork ASAP.

The goal has been updated to the new amount needed as the first donations were used to fix the things my husband was cutting off on me in retaliation for filing and the extra food and gas costs that came from being in the shelter.

Hi, I'm Shannon and I'm leaving my abusive marriage but I need some help. I'm disabled and my husband controls all of the money. We have 3 cats but one is in palliative care.

I've been in contact with local shelters and have an exit plan in place. Currently, it looks like the best window of time between potential escalation events will be the week immediately after our third cat passes away. Of course, that could start tomorrow or it could start in February. I don't know.

What I do know is that I have to grab our other 2 cats and be able to leave. I need to have gas in my vehicle. I need to be able to stop using my current phone and switch to a new number. And, once I'm at the shelter, I may need to be able to purchase some supplies because I have Gastroparesis and eat a specific diet that they may not be able to accommodate.

I'm applying for jobs. I thought I would be able to stay here and work a bit before I left. But the escalation has gone up too quickly in the past month and I need to leave when this window of time opens, job or no job.

The money I'm asking for will cover gas, food, a burner phone, and any incidental items or costs I'm not expecting.
