Hello, I'm River. I'm a trans woman from the UK who is desperate to transition in a safer way. I am currently DIYing hormones and cannot afford blood tests, which means my transition is not safe or consistent.

With recent events around the world, I cannot wait 6-10 years for an appointment at an NHS gender clinic. We also don't know what the government or the treatment of trans people will be like in 10 years, and I am desperate to legally and medically transition before then. The funds would be used to start privately transitioning while I wait for an NHS gender clinic and hopefully start the long road to surgery, which is a future goal of mine. Dysphoria is making my life unbearable; I have been trying to fund things myself and will often go without food in order to do so. However, in November, I attempted suicide and, as a result, lost my employment. So, I can no longer do this alone.

I am asking for the funds in order to continue transitioning in a safe and legal way.
