Help make rehab items for bushfire injured animal

As the ever looming, horribly hot, dry summer encroaches, fire threats become more imminent and I can’t help but worry about our beautiful defenseless wildlife and other animals at this time.

During the devastating 2019 fires, I set out to make pouches and mittens for wildlife rescue groups to help in the aid of the burnt and injured animals. I am once again going to start making these necessities again for this upcoming fire season but having a little less time now I have a bub, I wanted to start before need for these items becomes dire. I will aim to make 5 pouches (if not more) a week so there are plenty to ship out when needed.

The last time I did this, many of my friends and family wanted to help but couldn’t sew themselves, so they offered to donate money for the materials required. Alternatively, if you have any old cotton flannelette bedding or just regular cotton sheets that you would like to donate that would also be greatly appreciated. Please reach out and Dm and I will purchase the shipping, send you a postage label and you can throw it in the post when possible.
