Hi, my name is Tia Lempert. I am a music education student at Oregon State University, and I am competing in a singing competition put on by the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). I have been competing throughout the year, and am grateful to have made it through the first three rounds of the competition. I have been selected to compete in the national competition, which is the final round, to be held in Chicago this summer. I am the only one from my school who made it to nationals this year, and I hope to be there to represent OSU music. The video above is one of the three selections I presented in the preliminary round with my accompanist Ali Jones.
My accompanist Ali Jones has been working with me all year, and has done so much to ensure my success in this competition. Ali received her bachelors degree in Piano Performance from the University of Idaho, and her masters degree in Piano Performance from the University of Oregon. She is a member of the Linn-Benton Community College music faculty, and works in the surrounding areas as a freelance accompanist and teacher. This is Ali's fourth year at OSU. The money raised from this GoFundMe will also go towards Ali's travel funds so that she and I can work together as a team at nationals.

As a college student, and as a music teacher, money is tight so any contribution helps. Even a donation as small as $5 will help me reach my goal of going to Chicago and paying for, transportation, hotels, food, and educational workshops, and my accompanist. Please consider donating if you can :)
Thank you so much,
Tia
