Hi my name is Echo I’m 15 and have Dysautonomia also known as POTS. POTS is a condition that causes a number of symptoms when you transition from lying down or sitting to standing up, such as a fast heart rate, dizziness, fainting and fatigue. I am an actor and sometimes have to use my wheelchair before and after rehearsals to save my tolerance for dancing and getting up and down. I also have to use my wheel chair when hanging out with my friends so I don’t pass out. The problem with my current wheel chair is that it is only rented, bulky and heavy. In most places I go it’s very hard to fit through places and hurts my body to use for long periods of times. A new and better wheel chair would allow me to go more places comfortably and without passing out. The wheel chairs that have the right accommodations for my needs vary from 3,000 - 5,000. Anything helps thank you for helping me live more comfortably and authentically.
