Hello everyone. my name is Rohan and up until 2019 I lead a normal life, then after going to the GP because I was clumsy. I was lucky as the GP had just learnt about this. After 4 days in hospital and a mountain of tests the results are in.
I have Frederich ataxia (FA) is a rare, inherited genetic disorder that progressively damages the nervous system, causing movement and sensory issues. It's characterized by a gradual loss of coordination, leading to slurred speech and an unsteady gait. Symptoms often begin in late childhood and worsen over time. To top it all off I showed signs of scoliosis and was fast tracked to surgery and now have a titanium road in my spine and fused parts of my back. There is no insurance for this kind of condition, I need help to raise money so I can go back into my passion of bike riding. All mobility scooter are no good for a teenager who wants to have fun and have some freedom out in the country side. I have found an amazing company who makes and supports off road wheelchairs. https://Adaptive sports.co.uk I just need help to make my dream a reality.
if I’m lucky enough to raise enough money I will help the community and raise awareness to others who find themselves where I did.
