Hallo! My name is Marina and the good news is that since I started this fund raiser a year ago, I could enroll last October for part time courses in the third year in medical school! I am now fundraising to continue in my third year full time.

Every $20, $50, or $100 towards my studies will be much appreciated!

My aim is to volunteer and work as a physician in third-world hospitals, clinics, and refugee hospitals in neglected areas of the world. Among the very poor and neglected, once I have completed my studies.
There is an urgent need for physicians, especially for female physicians, in rural mission and humanitarian hospitals.

I have spent many years in rural areas of Africa in humanitarian aid projects, and I worked with refugees in Canada for more than 10 years.

I am a Mom of five adult children, and it has been my dream to study medicine once my youngest child completed high school.

I have now completed more than 2 years successfully of a 6-year MD program.

My next semester starts in October at a medical school in Eastern Europe. This medical school is WHO-approved and recognized by FAIMER, IMED , as well as by the European Medical Council.

Contact me if you need more information about the medical school.

I have previous training in Nature Conservation, Social Work and a diploma in Pharmacy Assistance.

I also completed International Disaster Response training in Belgium in 2019. So I can be on standby in case of a disaster, wherever I live.

I spent a month in Lesotho, Southern Africa, in 2025, where I volunteered at a small rural hospital, it confirmed my passion and calling to me: to help people who need medical-related assistance. Especially those who are underprivileged.

I believe that being an older, mature student will not hinder my future career as a physician.
Nowadays many physicians in rural third-world areas, and even in first-world countries, work until they are in their seventies or even eighties as physicians!

As an older student, I have the motivation to study and I have the life experience to handle challenges that will come my way, of course, only with the help of God!

By donating towards my studies, you can help me to continue in the third year and get closer to my goal of completing my studies.

My class fees for the 2026/ 2027 academic year are $ 4100 US, and my living expenses will be around $600 per month US. My goal is to raise $4800 US ($6500 Canadian) so I can cover some of my study expenses.

The donations here will be used for school related and personal expenses connected to my studies.

I will keep you updated about how my studies progress.

Thank you for donating, and remember, no donation is too small!
