We are raising money for Nathan. Nathan is a creative and driven young man. He also happens to be autistic but that does not stop him. He built a custom ebike from scratch for transportation to and from work initially, but also hoped to launch a business to provide transportation to people who are like him or just can’t afford a car. Recently, Nathan’s bike was stolen. We are raising money to replace it so that he can continue to work. Here is Nathan’s story in his own words: For the past 8 months I’ve been planning an e-bike in my own kitchen pouring sweat blood and tears into it and building it as I can not drive. I am autistic and needed a vehicle so researched and found out I could legally ride a ebike so I started and finished building a proto type that I would later want to make a business to fix build and repair other peoples electric vehicles for those with same issue who can't afford a car or can't drive due to disabilities. After riding it around for 2 months l I had to work at a new store and locked it up as I normally do at my normal store which never was an issue in the past. After 3 hours of working I went outside to grab some carts only to find it missing and drag marks across the floor. Someone had stolen my $8,000 vehicle that I had hand built from the ground up in my kitchen. I am now broke unable to build myself a new vehicle to drive around to get around to work and or other places. I do not know what to do now as this was my first vehicle I had ever owned and hand made thus not allowed to get insurance for it. This proto type was going to be what I would make for people who can not drive and need a ebike to get around but obviously a much affordable option without the insane stuff I designed for me. But it is now gone and I have nothing to show for it as it took all my time in 2023 to design figure out and make work. Here are some images of it my design process and what happened.
