Hi everyone,
I just wanted to update/thank you all. First of all, this love and support you've all shared with us means the world to us. I literally do not know how I'd be surviving without this help. It makes ALLLL of the difference. I've sent you all a thank you message and I hope they've gone through (I'm certainly new to this go fund me thing and don't know how it all works totally.. I'm not the most tech savvy person) :) So, I hope you've received my messages. Thank you and we love you so much.
As far as an update. James is better, but still has yet to come home... So, he's been gone since November 10th. :( It's all ups and downs. He's walking some, eating fine now, and mentally back to his normal self (sarcasm and all) ;) So, that part is amazing! However, he's still struggling with internal stuff. They say his body isn't absorbing electrolytes properly and some important ones aren't safe enough levels to come home. So, they're still trying to figure it all out. We just keep hoping he'll be home to his girls soon. We miss him more than words can say.
Again, thank you... you've lifted a lot of weight off with this help for our daily bills since we're down to one income mostly now. Thank you for helping our family stay afloat!!
Hello,
I am here to ask for financial help so that I can emotionally help my family. I have never reached out like this and don't really know where to start. My husband is in bad shape right now. His colon twisted inside of him and then the emergency surgery to repair it went bad and leaked inside of him for four days before discovery. Two more surgeries later, he is lucky to be alive and almost died. He spent 22 days at the hospital, two weeks of that in trauma ICU, and most of that time sedated and intubated for surgeries and healing. He's now in a hospital setting rehab facility. So he's been away from our home and two children since November 10th. He dealt with ICU psychosis for about two weeks. He still has a high heart rate, blood pressure issues, abscess with a drain, open wound, and cannot walk. He is still on a cocktail of medicines to keep him going, but stronger every day.
We are luckier than a lot of people and have FMLA and insurance, but we live paycheck to paycheck. My paid leave (which isn't full income) is expiring this week, but I'm worried about his progress when I go back to work, and these bills are sure starting to roll in too.
He's working so hard to come home quickly. He's the best husband and Daddy out there. We miss him so much. Any amount to cover normal expenses that we aren't getting enough pay for, and to help with some medical bills, would be great. Thank you.
