Hi, my name is Jennifer and I need help. My mom and I are on the verge of losing our house to our mortgage company and my mom needs a wheelchair. We were both some of the first to get COVID in early 2020. My mom Alanna almost died and spent a total of nine months in the hospital. Because of the extensive nerve damage she is dependent on a wheelchair but the one we have is a cheap model that was all we could afford at the time. It’s falling apart and she desperately needs a new one. We also have a mortgage renewal coming up that we simply cannot afford. I lost most of my income when I had to quit my job to care for my mom and she is on CPP. We are struggling to pay even basic bills let alone buy a new wheelchair and cover a mortgage renewal. The food bank is a regular stop for us. If we can’t get the money together we will be homeless by August and I won’t lie, I’m terrified. I am out of options and am now throwing myself to the mercy of others. I’m hoping this GoFundMe can change our fate and give us a chance to keep our little home.
