Hi, my name is Tyson. I'm an expat returning to Canada from Taiwan after twenty years. I'm returning with my wife and two children. We came with what we thought was a sufficient amount of money to get an Airbnb for a month and Have money for first and last and buy furniture. Five months later and we are still living in an Airbnb and funds are running critically low. We are down to just over 3000 dollars. I've had two offers for private school teaching jobs before I came as I was an English teacher in Taiwan but was blown me away when they fell through and someone else filled the positions. I'm doing odd teaching jobs online to stay afloat, but the income is covering about 60 percent of expenses. Because we have been moving from airbnb to airbnb my children have been homeschooling. This sadly to say it's putting a strain on them because they want to go to school. I feel down and out, because I can't shake the felling I'm ruining my children's educational progress. This money will be used to get a cheap residence and buy some furniture. Ontario has gotten quite expensive since I've been away, but I'm sure with this help, me and my family will definitely make it. And promise to pay it forward when times are good.
