Hello! My name is Victoria and I am doing this GoFundMe for my wonderful mother, Tanya. Until recently she had been going through treatment for ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, her battle is over and is now in at home hospice care.
My mother Tanya is a wonderful woman with a huge heart. She dedicated her life to her family. She spent years of her life taking care of her ailing father, my grandfather, and was with him until the end. She has prioritized her three children and done everything she can to ensure their future endeavors. She lives with me and my sister Rebecca, and is very close to her family (mother Elena, sister Vanessa, brother in law Dan, and nephews Cillian and Jackson) and sees them weekly. She speaks, via Facetime, to her family in Texas (son Alex, DIL Isela, and grandchildren Max, Wednesday, and Travis) daily. Her grandchildren are her greatest joy, and I’m sure one of the things that have kept her going. She loves and is obsessed with Snoopy. No seriously! ALL things Snoopy. And that little white dog brings her smiles every day, which I couldn’t be more grateful for.
She has been battling Ovarian cancer since October of 2022. The cancer had gotten to a controlled stage but unfortunately due to the negligence of a doctor and the wrong medicine it went unnoticed and got worse. She was a warrior though and continued to fight with everything in her. However, unfortunately the chemo treatment was not working to control her cancer. The negatives effects of the chemo caused multiple hospitalizations and side effects which affected her blood pressure, kidneys, and liver and outweighed the benefits. Her doctor advised to discontinue the treatment.
So here we are now trying to do the best for my mother. We, her family, want to ensure she gets the best quality of life for whatever time she has left. We can handle the day to day but we’d love to give her some last hurrahs, be able to afford flying out her grandchildren (and son & daughter in law), handle any upcoming and outstanding medical bills, and of course be able to cover any funeral arrangements when the time comes.
I hate to do this, but didn’t see another way. We’re trying to save but as she gets further into hospice we seem to be running out of time and money. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And if you can’t help monetarily and can just send good vibes and the hope that she can get pain free and enjoy her final days, that would be great too.
Thank you so much,
Victoria.
