Hey everyone. My name is Scott Pritchard and I've known Stephen Myers and his mom Eleanor Cliborne for a few years now. Stephen is an independent contractor with my company and Eleanor works in my office. Steve owns his own business as a process server and has done work for me and my company for about 8 years or so. He is a retired Army veteran, a devoted husband, a loving father and son and an all around good dude. At this time, Steve and Eleanor are both needing to take time away from working as tragedy has struck their family. Expenses will surely pile up as he takes time off, and when you work for yourself, if you don't work, you don't get paid. So please consider helping.
On February 24th, the unimaginable happened. I will share what Steve said about the sudden and still unexplained loss of his 15 year old daughter Serena:
"As a parent and as a father, this is something I would never want anyone to experience in their young life or in general. A pain so deep that it cuts to my core and leave my heart in millions of pieces that I may never know how to put back together. With tears in my eyes, I believe this is something I must share because there are so many friends and family members that must know as we have not told yet. On 2/24/2024, as my family was preparing to head back to NJ for a funeral due to the late passing of an uncle, OUR lives were immediately stopped and our nightmare began. Our daughter Serena passed away for reasons that have not been explained yet. We are in shock, sadness, upset, angry and in a constant phase of numbness. She was a healthy 15 year, almost 16 years old young lady who was full of life, straight A student, and head a plan for her life to include her choice of a career. I am angry with the maker; I am sad and heart broken for myself and my family to include my wife. It hurts tremendously inside and I have no words to explain what I or my family is feeling.
We loved her, we loved how full of life she was and how incredibly smart she was. She was achieving at such a high level of education in her school that she was rated at the top 5% of the class. We were parents proud to say that is our daughter, that is our #1 star in school and our babygirl who did wonderful things in her life. She was a giver, a caring and thoughtful person, devoted to family and devoted to find the peace in life out of the hate we see in reality. I miss her, I want her back. Her mother and I want her back. Her sisters and brothers want her back. Brother and sister-in-law want her back and her family entirely wants her back. She needs to be back at home with us, making us laugh, make us cry of joy, to inspire us to be better people."
I am heartbroken for this family and hope that others are willing and able to help at this time.
