Long story short... My dad has been battling stage 4 lung cancer for the last year. On top of his chemo treatments, he got really sick starting back in November. Doctors initially told us that he had pneumonia. But after several weeks of treatments, things weren't improving, and we finally received the devastating news: he doesn't have pneumonia. Instead, his lung cancer, which we had no idea was progressing so rapidly, has been growing. It's now wrapping around his esophagus, making it extremely difficult for him to breathe, and even speak without discomfort.

We're trying to stay strong, but the road ahead is uncertain. He has now been transferred to UVA Medical Center for more advanced care. He will be undergoing surgery in the hopes that it will give him some relief and slow down the tumor's growth. We're praying for a miracle, but the road to recovery is long, and the medical expenses are already mounting.

As you can imagine, this is a stressful and emotional time for our family. With all the medical bills, travel expenses, and the cost of care, it's hard to keep up. We’re asking for help from our friends and family—whether it’s a donation to ease the financial burden or simply sending your thoughts and prayers our way. Every little bit helps, and even the smallest gestures mean the world to us.
