Hi, It's Andria and Jessica and our dad Andrew Lask unexpectedly lost his life this week.

Our dad last Thursday went into cardiac arrest and has been in a coma. We were hoping for a miracle and he’d show brain function but unfortunately when he went into cardiac arrest his oxygen was cut off to the brain for too long before the paramedics got to him. My sister, dad's partner, Lindsay, and I had to make the tough decision to withdraw his care and we are thanking everyone for their prayers and support.

My dad was one of the most empathetic people who cared about everyone above himself and did sign up to be an organ donor and apparently only 1 percent of organ donors are eligible to donate and my dad was that 1% and another person will be getting a call on the transplant list they are getting the gift of life from my dad which is helping us cope and rationalize this time.

Everyone who knows my twin sister and I had a very special bond and relationship with our dad and we are devastated and still in shock. Please continue to pray and support our family during this time.

With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, my sister and I are responsible for his funeral costs. It is in these times of loss and sadness when people come together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for.
