Please help Mike Danielson fight Cancer.
We would like to start by telling you just how incredible of a man Mike Danielson is. Those of you who have the privilege of knowing him, know that through the "tough cowboy" exterior is a compassionate, generous and humble man.
In addition to being a talented and intelligent hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure guide we know him to be - he is also a devoted Husband to his big-hearted and genuine wife of 35+ years, Carol.
He's a loving Father to not only his biological children, but to many foster children over the years. As one of the main foster care homes in their rural community of Dease Lake BC, Mike and Carol continue to open their doors selflessly and have given love to so many individuals in times of need.
He's also a Brother, Uncle, and a position he shows the most pride in...a "Papa" to his two young grand-daughters.
Mike was recently diagnosed with an aggressive (stage 4) form of melanoma that has metastasized into his lungs.
This devastating diagnosis has progressed to a point now where Mike's personal business that he has built from the ground up has come to a stand still, and their household has gone from two very hard working individuals to only one. Additionally, because of the small town where they live - medical treatments, bills and travel costs have started to incur. They have already spent over $10,000 on flights and hotels for doctor/specialist appointments/tests all over BC, and medications etc.
What this also means for Mike and his family, is that they will have to manage even further with these same costs for his treatments, surgeries and/or hospital visits. Which is weighing heavily on their finances and they will not be able to sustain the strain.
Mike’s recovery would be so much easier without such a financial strain as he is no longer able to be the main provider. Likewise benefiting Carol to keep her exactly where Mike wants her, right by his side.
Should you feel led to show the Danielson's any support, I cannot think of more deserving and worthy human beings. They have always been known for giving, let's rally around them and return the love.
