I’m a single mom of four amazing kids, and I’m reaching out because we’re in crisis. I’ve recently received a 5-day notice to pay rent or vacate, and I’m terrified that my children and I will lose our home.

I’ve always tried my best to provide for my kids, but I live with chronic illnesses that make working nearly impossible. Between doctor appointments, pain, and constant fatigue, I struggle just to keep up with basic daily life. Even when I’ve tried to push through, my health has forced me to stop working more than once.

Now, I’m behind on rent and running out of options. I don’t have family who can help, and I’ve exhausted every local resource I know of. My biggest fear is that my children will have to go through the trauma of losing their home. They deserve stability, warmth, and safety — and I’m doing everything I can to hold that together.

Paying our overdue rent to avoid eviction

Keeping utilities on (electricity, heat, and water)

Basic necessities like groceries and transportation for my kids
