I am 86, my wife is 84. My wife is bedridden and I have been her caregiver for 3 plus years. I've also been caring for our 101 year old neighbor for the last 7 years. My wife and I are well known in the neighborhood as the "Halloween House". We enjoyed the happiness it brought to the young and old alike. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022. On March 31, 2025 I fell down in my kitchen and the next morning I was unable to move my legs. I was taken to Dominican were a tumor on my spine was detected. I was transferred to Stanford for two weeks. I was then moved to a rehab facility in Los Gatos. I was recently transferred to a rehab in Capitola. I am still unable to walk and I'm doing physical therapy in hopes of reclaiming use of my legs. To be eligible to go home I will need 24 hour nursing care but everything is about cost. Our medical bills are piling up and now that I am unable to walk, I cannot continue to try to make extra money as I was a seller at the flea markets & antique shows prior to this. I was in the Navy from 1956-1962 serving our country and keeping you safe. I was a soccer coach for 13 years for my son's team. I coached and taught my son how to ride motocross. Now I am in need of help, and I have never asked for help before in my life.
Thank you and God Bless.
