Support a Parent's Fight for Custody and Stability

My name is Kat Williams. I'm a single mother of two children. My older child, LJ, has been suffering from both physical and psychological issues since age 12 and has been  hospitalized several  times. On multiple occasions, LJ has attempted suicide. I am terrified.

LJ's father and I share custody. But we do not agree on what's best for LJ, whose condition often worsens when in his house. He refuses to modify certain behaviors of his that make LJ feel unsafe. Moreover, he is attempting to gain full legal custody, which  would mean I would be locked out of medical decisions for LJ. If this happens, I believe the result will be LJ never reaching adulthood.

Hiring an attorney to defend my child's interests will cost thousands. I will go bankrupt if I must, but my resources are not going to be enough. I cannot afford pride. Please, please, PLEASE help me save my child.
