My husband Greg has been diagnosed with Stage 3B colon cancer. His cancer is at an aggressive stage and we are doing everything we can to beat this awful disease. Greg has had surgery to remove the large tumor. Sadly his cancer spread through his colon wall and into 24 out of the 29 lymph nodes that the Dr removed. Greg's cancer has also spread into his lymph nodes into his chest wall and into his armpit.
Greg has started his chemo and receives two different kinds of treatments due to it spreading. He just finished his second treatment. We have so much further to go. Greg will have over 6 months of chemo to go through. He also comes home with a pump for 3 days after each chemo treatment so that the chemo continues to pump through his body. He also has bloodwork done every week and his bone marrow shot as well.
I never thought I would be creating a page like this. Greg is so loved by so many people. It is so very hard for us to ask for help but his medical bills are being billed to us and they are very expensive. We haven't been billed yet for the chemo treatments he has already had. With such a long road to go we are asking for help in this journey. We are not sure how long Greg will be able to work for. He had already missed 7 weeks due to his surgery. His side effects continue to get stronger after each treatment.
We are so blessed to have each and everyone one of you in our lives. We love all of you so very much. We have also created Greg's Journey Page in FB which many of you already follow. We love reading your posts and your prayers. It helps encourage Greg every day.
We thank all of you so much for your love. We have 5 children between us and they also feel your support and love. I will continue to update all of you on this page and in his journey page. Lets kick cancer for good.
With so much love,
Greg and Diana
