Help Mariel and Alexa

Mariel and Alexa Boden are Stevenson High School graduates (2017 and 2019 respectively) and are in dire need of help from our community. Their parents, Nancy Frohman and David Boden, are both Covid19-positive and are hospitalized at a local facility. Even though their father was initially showing signs of recovery, he suffered a stroke and continues to remain in ICU. Nancy still remains in critical condition because she unfortunately hasn't made any significant progress at the moment .

 Mariel and Alexa are home from college, trying to grapple with the overwhelming reality of this horrible situation. Everyday life has become difficult both emotionally and financially… acting as patient advocates for both parents, daily updates to family and friends, paying bills, getting gas, and providing food and care for themselves and their pets. Of course, this is all magnified by the worry, fear and exhaustion of having both parents in critical condition for over two weeks. Extended out of state family has been contacted for support also. 

 My name is Sue Spearman.  My family lives in Long Grove and our two daughters also graduated from Stevenson High School.  I've started this campaign to help my dear friend’s family.  Nancy and I met and became good friends while volunteering at Stevenson's annual EKG screening.  Our friendship has extended beyond our shared Stevenson years.  

After speaking to the girls, It was clear to me that one way to help them was to make sure they had access to funds to cover normal household and life expenses in the short term.  All donations to this campaign will go exclusively to Mariel and Alexa for their day to day needs.
