My name is Danielle. My dear grandmother has passed away at the young age of 88. My mother and I were her primary caretakers, and this kind of grief has hit us like ongoing punches to the chest. My grandma was everything to us, and she was widowed in 2014, so it's just been us 3 girls (on my mother's side).

We come from a long line of stubborn women, as in we're not the type to ask for handouts, but this funeral is twice as much as the last two we had to pay for (my grandpa, and my disabled aunt we were also taking care of who passed away in 2020).

According to the funeral home, we cannot hold the service until they are paid, and we are faced with not only the financial difficulty, but the pain of not laying my grandmother to rest.

If we could receive the help, we could grieve my grandmother.

*Funds will be used strictly for burial, and service, possibly tombstone if enough are accrued.

UPDATE:

Thank you to everyone who donated here & directly. We were able to have the service on 9/22/25, however we still need funds for her headstone. She is currently in an unmarked grave at Oakwood cemetery. If we can accomplish this we will be forever grateful.
