Those of us who have had the incredible good fortune to cross the threshold of the Only Café in Vernon, NY and have met its owner David know that it is a very special place and the he is a very special person.  Visiting the café is like entering a world unto itself, where all things unique and unexpected and cool have been blended in the crucible of David’s inimitable perspective into an experience that you’ll never forget and into a friendship that will likely last a lifetime.  And then there’s the food!  Homemade and handmade and beyond compare, it is the kind of food that tastes as if its been hidden in your imagination for years and that somehow only in the Only Café is it fully realized.  If you’ve been to the café, you have likely told the story of that visit countless times and returned to see David as a special occasion .  Well, the café and David have hit a very rough patch and we that count him as a cherished friend are asking for a little help from all those he has touched over the years so that he might continue to bring his special magic to the yet uninitiated for years to come.
