Miracles for Abel Bancroft
Hi my name is Trisha Jackson. My cousin Cindy needs our help and many prayers! Anything helps as it's going to a long road for her and the family. Abel had just lost his job a week before this happened!! I will keep this updated as I get updates from her. God bless!!
Here is the story:
⭐⭐⭐1st POST:
On June 28th, 2021, around 7:40pm, Abel, my husband and daddy to our 9 (all-together) kids ages 19, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 12, 8 and 2....was involved in a terrible accident where he fell off the roof of our 2nd story house onto the concrete drive and it also was witnessed by myself and one of our teens. On top of stresses the family was already going through, this has caused major horrific trauma. Abel was life flighted to a good trauma center into an ICU. He is in pretty critical condition. He has a shattered pelvis, aorta injury (the main ventricle in heart that pumps blood to all extremities and organs except the brain). He has a broken femur that will need rods and pins, the ball joint of his leg that goes into the pelvis came out of the pelvis, broken clavicle, many fractures face bones including his eye socket, his ribs pierced his lungs and he already had to have a blood transfusion. Abel has a severe skull and brain injury...they had to put a catheter/monitor in his brain to monitor swelling . He is on a vent.. He has a feeding tube,, arterial lines in place, tubes in through groin, and chest tube.They said they really needed to do surgery on his pelvis and leg but had to wait till he was stable. Finally they were going to do that and then found that they need to repair the aorta 1st. So they planned to do that surgery on the early hours of July 2. I was told they still have to put him under general anesthesia even though he is already sedated and may have to also do a nerve block...which would be another catheter out his stomach. Also, that with his body having so much healing to work on, and trying.......that the general anesthesia could be tough for him. We need prayers he will make it out of it strong and keep going forward, not backwards. Then after this heart surgery, they will wait till he is once again stable and do the pelvis and leg surgeries. Last, Abel will squeeze fingers lightly and will also move some extremities sometimes but he will not do anything by command yet so on those tests they give him, it doesn't pass. They think he may be able to hear because he responds to my/our voice ....the nurses know that by watching blood pressure and also, if he gets too over stimulated, we can't talk to him or touch him much at all ...it makes his brain try to process harder and makes his brain swell currently if there's too much.. They do the little tests every day and we just need to keep praying hard.. Family has never needed as intense, deep,, meaningful, urgent prayer as they do now. We literally need Jesus' miracles for Abel. We need prayers for the children and just all of us. There is so so much to think about, worries, stresses, helplessness, hurt.....Abel (and us all) need deep prayer like never before. I will try to update on this page as much as I can and I do believe in the power of prayer and God's miracles so I just ask if yall could pray and pray a lot. Thank you.
