MD Anderson bound

Hello my name is Rachel I'm helping my cousin Ann Marie fundraise for her cancer treatments at MD Anderson in Houston Texas.

Ann Marie lives in El Paso. El Paso is 746 miles away from Houston.

She was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast cancer last summer.

She has endured 16 rounds of intensive chemo, sugery to remove the tumors that spred to her lymphnodes, and 30-plus rounds of radiation.

On May 19th she found out the cancer spread to her spine.

The hardest part for my cousin is not the sugeries or chemo. It's about all the unspoken battles she has faced. The side affects of the medications. The financial strain on her family. She's a single mom with a teenaged son and daughter. The feelings of helpless and fear of losing the battle against this monster of a disease.

Ann Maire and her doctors in El Paso have put up a good fight but this cancer is a beast, Growing and spreading dispite their best efforts.

Cancer in the spine cannot be cured, but it can be treated. We hope and we pray. So she needs to go to Houston to see if the Dr's there can do more to help her fight this battle. She needs help with travel expenses, food, lodging, and the little things that come with going to another city where you don't know anyone to get medical attention.

I am amazed by her strength, her courage, her FAITH.

She has been though so much in the past year and never once has she complained. Ann Marie is my cousin we grew up toghether like sisters.
