This year marks a huge milestone: 25 years of BrasArte! For a quarter of a century, our organization has been a home for Afro-Brazilian dance, music, and culture in the Bay Area and beyond. To celebrate this anniversary and step boldly into the next 25 years, we are launching a campaign to raise $25,000.
Join us in shaping the next 25 years of Brazilian culture in the Bay Area — donate today!
Why Your Support Matters Now
At a time when so many arts programs are being defunded, your support is more crucial than ever. The arts are not a luxury; they are a source of joy, healing, and belonging. Let’s ensure that this legacy not only survives but thrives for generations to come.
What Your Donation Supports
Your gift helps us:
- Create a documentary film honoring the life and vision of our beloved founder, Conceição Damasceno, whose artistry and dedication shaped BrasArte into what it is today.
- Continue hosting Brazilian guest artists. It costs nearly $5000 to bring an artist to the U.S., and your donation helps us keep this cultural exchange alive.
- Sustain our children’s programming that inspires the next generation through dance, music, and storytelling.
- Produce our beloved festivals — the Yemanjá Arts Festival and San Francisco’s Brazilian Day & Lavagem Festival — vibrant celebrations that unite in joy.
Our Goal: $25,000
Together, we can reach this goal! Here’s how it adds up:
50 people donating $500
100 people donating $250
250 people donating $100
500 people donating $50
Every gift, big or small, helps us celebrate our past while building a strong and vibrant future.
Thank You
