I never thought I'd be writing this or be in this situation - but here we are.
If you know me - you know I've been obsessed with French Bulldogs for the past ten years. I took my time, did my research and waited until I found the right puppy to call my own.
Last week I reached out to a breeder in San Diego who had a recent litter ready to go. I was sent photos, information and showed other happy clients with their puppies. I even facetimed the breeder and her puppy that I was interested in.

She's the one. She is small and mighty with an absolute adorable disproportionate face. Due to Covid my parents agreed to meet the breeder with my puppy outside of a PetSmart in their town. They picked up my dog, I venmoed them the money and we all celebrated. It was a thrilling moment of pure joy and bliss.
The next morning she was taken into the vet for a wellness check before I brought her home. Thats when we were told the heartbreaking news...
She has Parvo.
We were given the immediate decision - put her down or hospitalize her now. She's already part of the family and we couldn't imagine putting her down so we admitted her. She's still in there...fighting the ultimate fight for her life. We are hopeful and we want to fight for her.

I was realistic when getting a Frenchie, I know they can come with a price tag. So I saved and saved for her but this was not part of the plan.
Neither was the disappearing con artist of a breeder who blocked my phone number and social media handles when I called them out on selling sick dogs. I am devastated.
They are estimating about $3500 in vet bills for her hospitalization. So now I need help. My family wants to help but- let's face it... it's 2020 and there is only so much anyone can do. I don't want to give up on her - I want her to live and I want to give her the best life I possibly can.
Today, I'm humbly asking for help. Not for me but for my puppy - Birdie. Every penny goes to her. Every single cent to her fight. I want to bring her home next week and I can't do it alone.
I never thought I'd be here asking for help but I couldn't imagine not doing absolutely everything for this amazing, wild spirit of a puppy.

Thank you so much for sharing, donating and reading. Stay safe
