Due to a number of rescues in Manchester constantly overflowing and having to close their doors for short or long periods, I have taken it upon myself to gain some training and help out the cause. However I soon realised the true cost of this. Rescued pigeons need constant care and attention, ensuring they have a clean environment (bedding changes twice daily), have fresh water and good quality food. In addition injuries and diseases require medication, including antibiotics, antiparasitics, critical care and other supplements. Baby pigeons require formula and sterile syringes and tubes. Those with wounds require antiseptics, dressings, eye drops etc. This all comes at a huge cost, and with no funding I rely on my own income. Any donations to keep my rescues treated, fed and clean are always appreciated!
