Those of you that know me realize I am not good at asking for help. However, the events of this past year have taught me lessons of community, thankfulness, and humility. I need your help.
I am starting a brand new drama department at a high school in Downtown Los Angeles. They have never had a theatre program. They don't have a theatre, an MPR, nor even an indoor cafeteria. I am creating all outdoor theatre this year. I am good at making theatre from seemingly nothing, but I usually front money from my own pocket to do so. Because I lost my full-time job last year, I don't have it this year.
I want to introduce meaningful theatre to kids that haven't experienced it yet. I want to change their world.
While I did obtain some lights and sound from the school, I need to invest in a wide variety of things: curtains, a portable stage, tools, more sound equipment, makeup, rights for shows, Thespian membership, etc.
I know everyone has dealt with loss of all forms this year, but if you can help me with a small donation, it would go a long way. If you can't afford a donation, send me some good vibes, prayers, or a joke or two. Those help as well!
