McLean and McIntire Family Fire Fundraiser

Donation protected
On the evening of Wednesday, May 18, 2022, the home of Scotty and Beth McLean was destroyed by a fire. This was also the home and temporary residence of Samuel and Candace McIntire and their two very young children. As a result of the fire, the house is completely irreparable. Gratefully, all members of the family are safe and well. The McIntires’ family van was not damaged however the McLeans and and McIntires both had one vehicle in the carport, both of which were destroyed. Due to the nature of Candace’s profession, she works remotely, which has resulted in the loss of her office as well.

Scotty works in the firefighting community as an EMT and a firefighter, while Beth serves as a teacher for students who are visually impaired in Levy County. The McIntires also work as educators, Samuel, a science, math, and Bible teacher and Candace, a deaf education and training specialist. The family has a long history of public service and pouring into the lives of others through their church life, careers, and community lives.

As the long road to restoration begins, please consider supporting the McLean and McIntire family through these difficult times. Many items will need to be replaced for both families. Those things are in addition to the daily needs and expenses associated with being displaced while the home is rebuilt.

Money collected will be used for temporary living expenses, insurance deductibles, and all items not covered by insurance. The family also welcomes and appreciates prayers. Any support given is sincerely appreciated and will bless them in this time of devastation.

Candace and Beth have both posted publicly. Beth posted, “We need everything but are in need of nothing. We are so blessed and so thankful for HIS protection and provision!! We appreciate the outpouring of love, hospitality, and generosity!! We truly feel loved by our friends, community, family and church!!”

Candace posted, “Many of you have heard that our house caught fire and we lost a lot. We were staying with my mom and stepdad while we are building a house. My mom and stepdad lost everything…We are overwhelmed with the support everyone has shown.”
