McKibben-Greene Family Fire Recovery

On December 12, 2019, the only real home I’ve ever known burned down due to an electrical fire. As a result, my mother and I lost everything inside. Now we are trying to figure out our next steps and how we are going to make it through the holiday season and beyond. Those of you who know my mom and me know we’ve never had much, but now we are faced with the task of starting over.
To my friends in the Upstate area, in Columbia and elsewhere — if you can manage to give a little and/or share this post, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you.
**UPDATE**
What started out as an attempt to raise enough for a hotel room and clothes has turned into a real journey toward funding a new home. The generosity we have received is absolutely mind-blowing, so I have updated the fundraising goal with the real hope of being able to provide my mom with enough to build another home on our property. Unfortunately, the home was not insured (we lost it a while back due to the house's age), so we – my mom, especially – are starting again from ground zero.
Please, if you're able, consider sharing with others and spreading the word. I am absolutely floored by the possibility of giving my family a new start. Thank you, from the very bottom of my heart.
