I lead the I HELP association, committed to promoting children’s right to quality and dignified education. Through this fundraising campaign, we aim to support children in the Kabare Territory, South Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of Congo, by rehabilitating school classrooms and creating better learning conditions.

In the Buhozi area, within the Mudusa group, many schools operate in extremely poor conditions. Classrooms suffer from damaged roofs, deteriorated walls, lack of paint, and insufficient school furniture. These conditions directly affect the quality of teaching, students’ concentration, teachers’ motivation, and children’s safety. They also increase absenteeism and the risk of school dropout, especially among the most vulnerable children.

This project focuses on rehabilitating one classroom in each of three schools: EP Emergent in Buhozi, EP Imani in Kadutu/Buhozi, and CS La Gloire in Luhoko, all located in the Mudusa group, Kabare Territory. The main goal is to sustainably improve learning conditions by providing students with a safe, clean, and motivating educational environment.

As you can see in the photo, many children do not have basic school supplies, and the classroom is in poor condition. Despite this difficult environment, they do everything they can to study, learn, and keep hope alive. With your support, we can give them the materials and safe classrooms they deserve to learn with dignity.

The project includes repairing classroom structures, restoring roofs and walls, repainting, and providing adequate school furniture. It will also improve teachers’ working conditions and strengthen community engagement around education.

The direct beneficiaries are the students who will use the rehabilitated classrooms and their teachers. Indirect beneficiaries include other students in the schools, parents, the local community, and school authorities.
