The Beemer family has suffered a tremendous loss. It saddens our hearts to share the news of the passing of our beautiful daughter, McKenzie. No family plans for such tragedies. No parent should ever have to face this indescribable pain. The Beemer family requests for their privacy at this time as they are at a loss for words. Please, No questions at this time. Yesterday was by far the most traumatic experience of my 45 years on this earth.
I came home at about 1:30 pm yesterday and found McKenzie unresponsive on her bed. I immediately called 911 and they had me get her on the floor and began CPR until EMS arrived. They arrived within five or six minutes. It was the longest five minutes of my life. They got her to the emergency room and they did all they could do. I lost my little girl to a murderer she couldn't fight.
We believe she was given some pills from somewhere and they contained Fentanyl. She took a pill or pills thinking she was escaping for a bit or trying to cope with something she was battling. She never woke up. Our only salvation is knowing that she didn't suffer and passed peacefully.
Sadly... I shared a story with my wife and children FOUR days before McKenzie passed. It was a story of a young man who took ONE pill with Fentanyl in it... and died. I have included a screenshot of that message and what I said to my children. Four days... before I found my daughter. I will also include a link to that story in the comments.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and supported us during this tragedy. I never believed that I would have to preform CPR of one of my children... and I certainly never fathomed burying one either.
