McKenna & Trevor's Recovery from Hurricanes Helene & Milton

Hello, friends, family, and kind strangers~
We are the Preble + Powers family from CA. We are seeking support as parents, sisters, and brothers-in-law for McKenna and Trevor, our cherished family in St. Petersburg, FL.
Two years ago, McKenna and Trevor courageously took a step of faith to move from their home of Sacramento, CA to beautiful St. Petersburg, FL, to open up a franchise business, Fibrenew St. Petersburg. Over the last two years, they have cared for their community and built a budding 5-star business while navigating their new lives far from home, overcoming financial struggles, battling homesickness, and grieving the unexpected loss of Trevor's father. Through each new challenge, they leaned into God and each other, knowing that this adventure would only further grow their fortitude as a couple and as individuals.
On September 26, 2024, McKenna and Trevor became one of the many families affected by Hurricane Helene. A Category 4 storm, Helene ripped through St. Petersburg and rapidly flooded many parts of the city, including McKenna and Trevor's rental home and business site. In tears, they spoke with family members across the country who could do nothing but encourage them just to make it through the night. They spent hours in darkness with no power or ability to summon help as the water rose around them to the point that they couldn't leave their home. When morning came, they were alive and uninjured, but Helene had claimed most of their belongings, including their car, all major appliances, household furniture, and equipment for their business. In addition, their rental home was unliveable until significant repairs could be made. Shaken but undeterred, McKenna and Trevor rallied to start the rebuilding process, working tirelessly to start their business back up and clear away what was left of their possessions. McKenna even took to their company's social media account thanking those who came out to support St. Petersburg and them in the recovery efforts.
What they could not have predicted was Hurricane Milton. Though Milton was a dangerous Category 3 hurricane compared to Helene's Category 4, while Helene grazed their hometown, Milton was heading right for St. Petersburg. McKenna and Trevor chose to evacuate to family in Alabama, taking what they could in their truck and elevating what remained. They said a prayer and left behind what was left of their home, faithfully believing that God would either spare them or use the hurricanes as a part of their testimony in the future.

As a family, we have done all we can to rally around McKenna and Trevor during this time. However, expenses have skyrocketed as their rental home has remained unliveable and Hurricane Milton has threatened what remains of their belongings. We are looking for any support to help cover the cost of evacuation expenses, temporary lodging, and costs to rebuild their lives (i.e. furniture, appliances, etc.). We are confident that God will calm the storms in McKenna and Trevor's lives, working all things for good. In the meantime, we are hopeful that He may provide through the kindness of others as well.

Thank you for considering supporting our beloved family, McKenna and Trevor, as they piece their lives back together and help rebuild their community through their restoration business, Fibrenew St. Petersburg. Any donation, big or small, is appreciated.
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride" (Psalm 46:1-4).
"Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven" (Psalm 107:28-30).
