McKenna Nentwig Health Fund

On May 21, 2020 one of my students was walking her dog and was hit by a truck. Her dog that she loved was killed. McKenna sustained multiple life threatening injuries. When she arrived at the hospital she was intubated, in a neck brace and had seizures. She was life flighted to Salt Lake Primary Children's Hospital where a team of Neurologists, Orthapedists, Plastic Surgeons, Speech Therapists, Physical therapists and Trauma doctors began her treatment. She spent a few days in ICU and then was moved to the Neuro Trama Unit. Currently her prognosis is good, but her road to recovery will be a very long one. She will be working with speech therapists, occupational health therapists, physio therapists, neurology specialists, orthopedic doctors, psychologists as well as plastic surgeons to help her heal.

As you can imagine her medical bills will be astronomical. Her family always provide her the love and care that all children deserve. KcKenna is an honors student that maintains top grades. She is also one of the most caring and compassionate students I have ever had. I hope you can find it in your heart to do whatever you can to help.
